Updating the JUMC Prayer Chain
The JUMC prayer chain is being updated. There are two options:  You may receive the prayer request and an accompanying prayer via text message to which you simply respond “Amen” or you may receive the prayer request via a phone call, in which case you and the caller will pray together over the phone and then you will call another person and repeat the prayer with them. If you wish to be added to or removed from the prayer chain list, please let Shannon Hamer know by November 5.

We're Collecting Prescription Bottles Again
New distributors have been found so we’re able to begin collecting prescription bottles for Malawi, Africa again. No over the counter bottles, please. Simply cross out personal information (or remove the label entirely) and place in the collection box in the entry. Your compassion will span halfway around the world and improve the health of many !!

Operation Christmas Child – Due Sunday, 11/12
Once again this year we will be packing shoeboxes for the Samaritan Purse Ministry – A longstanding mission to bring the hope and joy of the message of Jesus Christ to children around the world. We will have cardboard shoeboxes available, but it’s best to purchase sturdy plastic ones because they will last much longer. Information (including the increased cost) is available on the Mission / Outreach bulletin board.

Mission Fair – Sunday, 11/12
The Mission Fair will be November 12. Consider giving locally or globally. Details TBD.

Discover more missions on the Outreach page.

Church Council Meeting:  Wed., Nov. 1st

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.  In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?"     [John 14:1-3]

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!”(Ps. 122:1)
